I’ve made awesome progress on all three of the pieces I’m working on. Yes, you may be shocked and amazed.
The first line of business is the Summer Mystery Shawlette. I finished clue 2 with amazing speed after it came out on Sunday. I love this decrease-as-you-go shawl. It’s amazing how quickly it seems to go!
Lastly, I got a good 11 rows done on the wedding veil. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but it’s up to 688 stitches and 2 of those rows had beads, so it was actually hours of work. I think I have about 5 rows left, plus the bind off. Rows 1 and 5 have beads. Blehhhhh.
Also I’ve noticed my iPhone can’t seem to get the colors right on this shawl. It’s yellow and white and has little rainbow coloring throughout. It’s really annoying, and even playing with it in photoshop doesn’t help at all. I guess it could be the way the light comes in from the window blinds or something. I’m hoping that putting it on the black puzzle mat I got when I block it will help with that, since my good camera seems to have “just got up and walked away”.
Right now the radius is about 20 inches. I wouldn’t be surprised if it hit 2 feet after blocking.

I love that strangling vines pattern, and the yarn choice is excellent ;) Good luck with the last few rows of the wedding veil, it’ll be absolutely stunning once it’s done.

Thanks! It’s a good thing I am enjoying working with the Handmaiden Sea Silk, because I have 3 more shawls to make as bridesmaid gifts, and one for me at some point, too. :)
The veil is grueling and is going to take twenty forevers to block!

The wedding veil is just gorgeous!
I’m also working on the Summer Mystery Shawlette and enjoying the pattern. Love the color of your yarn.

That does it! I have to cast on that shawlette. Yours has been the best photo of the porgress I have seen so far. I should thank you, but I already have two shawls on the needles!! Now I will have a third.

I know exactly how you feel. I was compelled to cast on for the shawlette even though I already had the veil and the scarf on the needles. It was just too big of a temptation to ignore!

Holy smokes! It’s all gorgeous! You’re really good at lace knitting!

You think so? I enjoy lace knitting. It’s big blocks of stockinette or garter that I can’t do. I get bored and never finish. This is why I don’t have any sweaters or anything on here.

Wow! Lot’s of lace here. . . all beautiful. I like your new name for the scarf ; )

Thanks!. The scarf is great for travelling, but it’s so mindless that if I don’t have something else to occupy me, like a TV show or an audiobook, I go nutters.

I am in awe of the wedding shawl – 688 stitches!!! Glad to see another summer KAL too xx

I think it was bigger for a little bit, and then narrowed down, and that’s why it’s got a bit of a wavey flower shape to it now instead of being a circle.

Glad you found me through WIP Wednesday and that you stopped by my blog. This is the first time I’ve seen your site and am loving it!
