I got a lot done this week, but when I say done, I mean that the content isn’t in progress anymore, and I don’t cheat. So you get a list and then a picture of the one thing I can show you. :)
- Aeolian is off the needles. I couldn’t do the bind-off as written due to lack of yarn, so I hope the edge is sturdy enough to hold the blocking. Not sure when that blocking will occur, though.
- Washed Ashore afghan is as done as I can make it (ran out of enough yarn to do another row). Just needs ends tucked.
- I have two blocks ready for tomorrow’s War Against WIPs post. Edit: I mean it you guys, these blanket squares are for THURSDAYS. :-P
I figured out this weekend that I wouldn’t have any pictures to show you, so I real quick added side pockets to that purse I haven’t finished yet because I’m too afraid I’ll bollocks up the lining to try and line it.
For more works in progress, check out Tami’s Amis WIP Wednesday post for this week!

Running out of yarn? I have to admit that never happens to me, I am one of those irritating people that buys at least one ball/skein more than required.

A friend of mine wanted a blanket and his mom donated yarn she had sitting around. But she gave me WAY too much and I had all this yarn left over, so I needed to make SOMETHING out of it. I figured I’d run out before the end of the pattern, but it hardly matters in this case. :) The yarn is discontinued so I can’t just get more.

That happened to me too! My grandmother gave me a skein of red heart from when it was the other ply (I think it used to be 4 and now it’s 10?) and they don’t even make that color anymore. Ugh!

Cute pocket, but where are the pics of your blanket squares??? They could be your WIP post for quite a few weeks!!! ;-D

I mentioned them in my list. They’re for my Thursday posts, remember? =D

Isn’t it funny how fast you can get something done when you want to show your blog readers that you’re working?!

Ha!!! I agree with Sharon. The blanket squares are WIPs and deserve to be shown. :D
Love the pocket. I can’t live without them in clothes or bags.

They’re gonna get shown. Tomorrow! They’re for a specific meme, so that day is when I post them up.

Not having WIPs in progress to show is a good thing! Makes for an exciting Friday. It’s nerve wracking to run short of yarn, but nice to not have leftover :)

LOL…you’re such a rule follower! Those mushroom stitch markers on my WIP Wednesday post are from this etsy store. They were a happy accident…I had ordered koala ones for a friend, and she sent those by mistake. I was smitten by the mushrooms and hedgehogs…it seemed such a shame to send them back…. ;) We handled the koala replacement through PayPal (she gave me a discount & free shipping). Very nice lady, and she does custom orders!
Can’t wait to see Aeolian!

You just knit an Aeolian Lace Shawl and you are worried about lining a purse!! Get to it woman! You can do it.

I don’t see how knitting is ANYTHING like sewing. o.O I’m actually quite bad at sewing. Plus I don’t have the right tools to cut the fabric straight.

That brown is just gorgeous. I love it!

I can see myself, if I ever made a purse, also getting stuck on the “now for the lining” part. I hope you don’t stay stuck long! And I love the side pockets. :D
