Squee Sunday

This is mostly a swag post! But before the swag I want to point everyone at this delicious Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookie recipe I used to make a friend cookies for his birthday. Don’t use the one from Reese’s – everyone complains they turn out hard and flat. My only change was to sub in 1/2 cup brown sugar. They came out awesome and I wish I had kept more of them! Most went to my friend.

First Batch!

Next up, books. Mom got me the two Custom Knits books because she swears that they make it super easy to customize patterns to fit you exactly. I also picked up Knits Men Want because – surprise – there is a sweater in there Todd said he wanted for “sitting around the house” use. I’ve ordered some Berroco Vintage for it, but it isn’t here yet.

Finally, I got in the yarn for most of my Xmas gifts this year. There are two skeins of Swish DK in coal, but one of these is going toward a commissioned pair of fingerless mitts for one of my PA Pole Academy instructors. The other might go toward something for my future sister-in-law.

Last but not least I have 4 skeins of the new limited edition yarn from KnitPicks, Sugarbunny. I am totally jealous of my gift recipients this year, because this yarn is scrumptious!

What did you squee about this week?

  1. The yarn is lovely! But to tell you the truth those cookies are all I can think of. They look delicious. I *might* have to make some even though I really shouldn’t…

  2. Lovely yarn!! About the cookies…. I’m thinking you could sub some gluten free all purpose flour and make me some!!! Haha!!! Maybe for the holiday party though… ;-D

  3. My Squee is for my dad’s birthday this week. :) Looks like you got Sugarbunny in some great colors!
