Squee Sunday

I was going to use today to squee about a party and put up more pictures of my costume, but because of the snow I elected to stay home. On the off-chance that I had gotten caught at the party and had to stay overnight, it’d be the cat who suffered most. And I really didn’t want her inhaling her food later and throwing it all up. She’s finally keeping down dry and I want it to stay that way, darnit!

SO, even though I don’t have a picture for you, I am going to squee about this awesome recipe I made while having a night in with Todd:

Spiced Hot Chocolate

Todd and I have these giant mugs that hold two cups each, so I resized this to 4 cups and then just added in another tablespoon of sugar. It came out MAGNIFICENT.

I do suggest not trying to slurp up the sludge left at the end. It’s like how you aren’t supposed to drink the grinds after having a Turkish coffee. It doesn’t work the same way a normal packet of hot chocolate would. :)

What did you have to squee about this week?

  1. Wow, that looks amazing! I think I’d die of chocolate overload if I drank 2 cups of it though!

  2. Wow – that sounds good, although with my stomach I’d have to leave out the hot spices! I missed commenting on Friday, but I love your cross stitch – he’s so cute!

    • Well the only “hot” spice is chili powder, and there’s so little of it in there that all it does is leave a slight tingle as it goes down. There’s no burning or crying or anything. I’ve used chili powder in chocolate desserts before and it has a similar effect.

  3. I was just thinking of looking for the perfect hot chocolate recipe in honor of this weekend’s snow and I think this is it! Looks so yummy!

  4. Oh that sounds so yummy!
