This is my half-year of WIP Wednesdays post! It isn’t a very big WIP Wednesdays post, but I’m adding some stuff in here to make up for that.
First up, some progress on my Baby Dragon Scarf.
A lot of the other FOs for this project don’t have the pronounced “spine” and I suspect that it blocks out. I sort of like the spine, so I’m thinking about not blocking it. We shall see.
I started and finished a headband out of the rest of the chunky yarn I used for my Leela armband for Halloween. Well, mostly finished. It still needs a button sewed on, and I have to try to tighten up the button hole a bit because it’s way too big.
After stumbling across a really cute cross stitch coaster set in Michaels, I decided not to leave the Happy Beer cross stitch in the hoop for hanging as originally planned. I ditched the ghey hummingbird chart that came with the set and inserted the mug instead.
As a bonus, it seems to make my mediocre stitching look more professional! And as a second bonus, Michaels had two of these, so I can make another one.
Lastly I’ve been trying to dig up all the snowflakes I made a few months back when I was given a 99 crocheted snowflake book. I found 13 out of the 14 flakes and I have determined that it is #3 I’m missing, so I’m gonna have to re-make that one before I block these. They’re gonna go on my sad pine tree in the kitchen. :)

Love the beer beer mat, very cool :)
The dragon scarf is gorgeous, and I totally agree that it needs to keep the spine

I like the spine on the dragon scarf too! And a beer stein is much better than a hummingbird for a coaster – Awesome!

Woo, that’s a lot of progress! Love the cute beer…reminds me of that quote (not by Ben Franklin, apparently), “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.” =)
Maybe try blocking one section in the middle of the scarf? I agree; the ridge looks great!

That coaster is a perfect ending for that cross stitch. I want one! I wonder if you can get them in the UK…
