Squee Sunday #26

Squee Sunday

It’s Squee Sunday, the Xmas edition! And the marker of a half a year of Squee Sundays! I know it’s late, but in my defense I wanted to wait until Todd and I put my big Xmas gift together:

New Bookshelf!

My knitting books were all over the place, so I asked Mom2 and Dad2 for a new shelf for Xmas. It’s shown above next to the old shelf, which now houses some knitting bags filled with yarn and supplies and projects.

The bottom shelf of the bookcase holds a bunch of old programming and art books left over from college that I’d like to get rid of, but for now they are being super heavy on my bottom bookshelf, which is fine and dandy until I fill out my collection more.

Here’s the shelf with the bulk of my books.

The are magazines off to the right, offscreen.

I wasn’t expecting all of these to fit on one shelf!

The shelf right above this has some knitting needles, crochet hooks, notions, and printed out patterns on it, and the top shelf houses my tiniest books and those one-a-day calendars that I’m afraid to take apart.

Also, here’s a totally sweet ornament Mom2 gave me:

Kitty + Yarns!

If you’re wondering what my first set of parents gave me for Xmas, it was a bunch of moneys to help pay for my kitty’s vet bills. She’s doing much better, by the way! We left her alone overnight for our trip to NY and when we came back she hadn’t had any awful “movements” and had eaten her food. Yay!

What did you have to squee about this weekend?

  1. It’s so nice to have everything on one nice tidy bookshelf! My crafty things need to be organized badly! It’s funny you say you’re afraid to take apart the calendars, I just now took apart one (not from any very recent year) about a month ago!
