Drake joins the Slug Club. =D
When Jeremy told me that his son Drake likes aliens, the first things that came to mind were the Brain Slugs from Futurama. Awesomely enough there are a bunch of patterns for the Brain Slugs, so I was able to take the time to pick my favorite one.
This pattern works up really quick and it isn’t hard to crochet an eye instead of using felt, as you see here. I’m probably going to make a couple smaller ones later, for cats and to take to work and keep on my desk.

That’s a cute idea. I wonder if I can modify one to work that way? I don’t think I would want to crochet it though. A bulky-weight knitted hat would go much quicker.
