As soon as I saw this pattern I knew I had to make him because Cyndaquil is my starter in Pokémon Soul Silver. His name is Hemorrhoid because his butt is on fire. =D This is the most complicated toy I have ever made.
I used two unknown acrylics for the black and flesh colors, and the fire is made out of Vanna’s Choice. I sort of wish I had some wool on hand for the fire actually, so I could block it better. At least I got it to stop curling so much for the pictures.
I had a really hard time pinning the black piece to the body and head because I couldn’t find my nice box of pins anywhere, so I had to use safety pins. You can tell from the pictures below that he isn’t quite symmetrical. :)
He looks funky with just the under-skin.
