I made a few stylistic changes to the pattern for my scarf. The pattern lacked the purple stripe, so in order to keep the scarf from getting too wide, my second row of each color was done in SC instead of DC.
I made the legs a lot less long since the original Nyancat has such tiny feet, and I think my tail is a few rows shorter as well. I made the face as close to the original as I could, and hid the sort of rough end of the scarf with fringe.
The icing and sprinkles are just fabric paint. Really, really old fabric paint that I found in a dusty box in my closet. :)
Some of you might need to know what Nyancat is, so here you go!
Yes. That’s it. I’m not kidding. That’s all it is. And it’s awesome.

I can’t play the video as I’m at work, but it looks like your scarf capture it perfectly! The colours are fabulous :)

Supercute! I think switching to sc to keep the rows thinner was a smart choice. Great work.

The scarf is great. I appreciate your having the video. I live under a rock and kept hearing nyancat, but had no idea what it was. I guess I am old. As I sat watching the video I kept asking “is this it?” Then I looked down and saw your comment. It is a funny clip. In fact. I think I’m going to watch it again.

There are actually web sites that have an infinite NyanCat playing and keep track of how much time you stay on the page. :)

Too cute! Dare I ask if this is for you or a small munchkin?

I admit I intended it for myself. Todd is dismayed. =D

That. Is. Awesome. I’m not like, a connoisseur of the Nyancat meme, but I think it’s cute as hell, and this scarf is kind of the best thing ever. The rainbow-ripple looks awesome, the cat is adorable, and yay for really old fabric paint that still works! (I have some of that kicking around, myself. You never know when you’ll need it.)

This is amazing! And a weird coincidence, since my supervisor was just on vacation, and his cubicle was decorated with Nyan cats when he came back! LOL
