This week on Squee Sunday, I present you with my Halloween costume! I had to finish it early for a party, which was yesterday.
Sadly, we haven’t had time to beg someone to cut Todd’s wig yet, so his hair is only sprayed orange. Oh, and click here for a reference image if you don’t know who the characters are.
Yes, that is a can of Slurm in Todd’s hand, and a Zapp Brannigan ray gun in my hand. =D
My mom somehow magicked me up the eye from cheesecloth and felt. She’s a sorceress or something. It has little elastic loops that hook around my glasses, and I can see through it enough when there’s enough light to not bump into things. And since it’s thin I’ve just been pushing it up above my glasses to sit like a visor when I need to see.
I’m sure you can tell that I knit the armband. It was a last minute thing when I couldn’t find foam and my posterboard attempt failed. I forget what yarn it is and I seem to have tossed out the label. It’s a 50% wool, 50% acrylic super bulky yarn that I picked up at Michaels. There is a hole in the middle where my iPhone strap can show through. I picked up the strap for a few bucks on amazon, trimmed the strap which meant I cut off the part that kept it velcroed, and then added elastic to help keep it on my arm.
What did you squee about this week?
