Rip It Good

WIP Wednesday #23

My cat is pretty sick so I’m not feeling excited about my work like I would have been, oh, about 3 hours ago if I’d written it then. I’ll be taking her to the vet as soon as I can. In the meantime, here’s some WIPs.

These black fingerless mitts are now complete, but here’s a wip picture from when I got the thumbs back in so you can see the cablework. Yes, this is the same pair I had to rip before. It still isn’t perfectly centered but it’s not all distorted now, either.

These mitts that I started on the train for jury duty are also finished, but here’s an in-progress shot of them up through the thumbs anyway.

And here’s sort of a secret project. I figured out what I can do for Xmas for some menfolk that don’t want or need me to knit them things. You guys probably didn’t know that I can do cross stitch, but guess what?

I'm not telling you what this is.

The X’s are all imperfect and doofy, but it doesn’t look so bad from further away. I got the pattern from an Etsy seller, thinking that if it’s teeny tiny, I might actually finish a cross stitch project for once. I have enough materials for a couple of these, though I’d need to get more of those hoop-frames from somewhere. Michaels only had one, and the rest of the choices all look flimsy and cheap. And Joann’s didn’t have them in the store. They’re on the site, though.
