Let’s start today with a bit of backstory.
Those of you who have been coming to my blog this week know that my cat, Dijjit, is sick, but that’s about it. Basically, my cat is losing weight and you can see her bones through her skin. She’s also been having diarrhea, and it’s gotten from mostly not formed to completely liquid. And once she couldn’t hold it while we had her in the bedroom while the chinchilla was out, and she went all over the bed.
The initial tests told us that it is not feline leukemia, diabetes, kidney issues, or thyroid problems. An ultrasound of her abdomen came back completely normal – no swelling, tumors, or abnormalities.
So, left with not much else we could do, the vet prescribed us an antibiotic just in case there is an infection somewhere, probiotics to hopefully help her start absorbing nutrients properly again, and some Royal Canin Gastrointestinal food. Well, she’s throwing up the dry every time we give it to her, so I’ve been stuck giving her only the canned grain-free Wellness even though she won’t eat as much of it. I’m also mixing in a spoon of pumpkin and seeing if I can get her to eat some chicken and rice also.
Now you might be asking, what has this to do with Squee Sunday? Well, this afternoon my kitty made a solid poop!
I’d have put a picture of it in here, but I didn’t think you guys would appreciate it much. Todd sure didn’t when I texted it to him since he’s away at a conference. XD
Anyway, I am hoping this means she’s absorbing nutrients properly and will start gaining weight back. I just wish I knew what happened so I can prevent it from happening again.
What did you squee about this week?

I hope the kitty is on the mend! LOL I understand completely…my cat went through some awful health issues a few years back, and recently my dog was having tummy issues and when he pooped normally it was like YAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!

Hahaha! Yeah, she went into the kitty box while I was icing some cupcakes so I was initially a bit miffed, but once I realized it was a proper poop I was like, “What a GOOD KITTY!”

We lost our cat many years ago to feline leukemia. It’s so sad to see them sick and not know what it is. Maybe she had stomach poisoning and it finally out of her system. Cats need prayers too so I’ll remember her today!
(Still church shopping but going back to the same one as last week this morning)

Best news I’ve heard today. I wonder if it’s a food or environmental allergy? They can be the pits.
