Thanksgiving was wonderful! I had a great time in NY with Todd’s family. The food was delicious, and we got to take a bunch home, which is always awesome. I made a sweet potato pie for dessert, specifically this one:

I had to bake it for 10 minutes longer than it said, and my only change was to add 1/8 tsp ground cloves. It came out awesome and I think most of the family had a piece and said they loved it. Here’s what’s left of it!
And here is a picture of Todd and Dijjit making use of our lazy Friday off – and also making use of my Fall Afghan!
I admit that this picture was supposed to just show Dijjit sprawling all over Todd cutely because Todd doesn’t particularly enjoy when I just snap photos of him, but it’s just so cute how she loves him that I couldn’t help sharing. :)

Glad you got leftovers. Even though there are tons left over *we didn’t even carve the second turkey) at my friends, she never offers them to us, just to her girls :(
We’re going to make a small turkey sometime in December just for sandwiches and turkey casseroles!
