It drapes really nicely.

This is my first fingering-weight crochet project, and also my first crochet shawl. The yarn is super soft and drapes beautifully. I would definitely pick it up again for shawls.  I used an F hook instead of the called for E hook because, well, I don’ t seem to have an E, and also I crochet pretty tightly.

This blocked to a respectable 52”x29”. Like all shawls I’m expecting it to shrink back down a few inches but I’m happy to have gotten such a big width out of it.

For a little bit I was worried that it wouldn’t be big enough and that I should do another pattern repeat, but I’m glad I didn’t because I only had a couple yards left at the end!  There were other people who did do the extra repeat and didn’t have enough for the edging, and I think the edging is really nice.  In my opinion it looks a bit silly without it, but apparently other people prefer to leave it off.
