Yesterday I was magically whisked away to Delaware.
Unlike Wayne and Garth, I had something to do in Delaware. I met up with the Crazy Crochet Ladies at the British Bell Tea Room. It’s this fabulous little nook tucked away in a corner of a huge shopping center. There are pictures of the actual place on their website, but I took a few others for today’s post!
All the flowers were fresh and beautiful, but the hostess changed ours anyway because they were slightly wilty. Here were the new ones:
I ordered the “High Tea“, which came with a HUGE amount of food for my money, which was $25. I got a whole pot of mohito-flavored tea all to myself!
Then I got a bowl of lobster bisque soup which was DELICIOUS, and a big three-tiered tray of food. I got 6 sandwich pieces, a scone, a sausage pastry thing which I could pretty much eat any time EVER, and a few little dessert items.
We only had two hours to hang out at the tea house because that’s how long they make reservations for to make room for everyone, but a good time was had by all. I would definitely make the trip to the teahouse to meet up with them again!
Afterwards we went and hung out at the Starbucks at the Safeway around the corner for a few hours and got some actual crocheting done, but I’d stopped taking pictures at that point because I was crocheting. :) You’ll see that on Wednesday.
If you have something to squee about this Sunday, feel free to link to it using Mr Linky below!

What fun!! I did high tea at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay California a few years ago and it was really a special time with my girlfriends. I do remember they served us a glass of champagne with a raspberry in the bottom of the glass.

Just a quick comment to add some tea information.
For those of you living near a Four Seasons Hotel, they usually serve really awesome high tea on week day afternoons! :)

I guess that would be why I have never been to a High Tea before. As if I’m anywhere near a place that does it on a weekday afternoon. =D
