This scarf was my portable project from April until August and is one of my bridesmaid gifts. The reason I started it so early is because I knew I’d get bored of the 4 row pattern very quickly, and so it was my traveling project since I didn’t need to look at a pattern while I made it.
Strangling Vines is the sort of pattern that looks like mess for the first few rows. I was really worried it wasn’t coming out right, but after I got a few inches in it looked a lot better.
This yarn doesn’t seem like it has a lot of stretch when you knit with it, but once it soaks for a bit it actually blocks really nicely. You can see the huge difference between the blocked and unblocked versions of the scarf.

Your scarf looks great, the colour is lovely. Blocking lace is like a mgic trick that something all scrunchy can turn into gorgrous open stitches

I love the color and the pattern. I think I have used that lace pattern before for exactly that reason. Four rows, easy to remember and turns out looking more complicated than it is.

great combination of yarn & pattern. and i love an extra-long scarf, despite usually getting too bored to knit them myself. :P
