This was a fun and enlightening knit, and also I’m very proud that I manged to keep up with this mystery shawl and finish just a bit after the last clue was released. I still have two other mystery shawls sitting around unfinished, haha!
This is my first shawl that is knitted from the bottom-up, which means it is knit from the lacy edge up to where it sits on your shoulders. It is also my first time using the lace cast on (similar to the knitted cast on, except the stitch is not twisted when placing it onto the needle). I’ll definitely be using both techniques again!
This particular colorway of KnitPicks Palette was hell to work with. It was rough on the fingers and didn’t feel nice at all. It’s pretty fuzzy, too, so tinking was not fun.
The shawl blocked out to about 48”x24” but I’m sure it relaxed since then.
